ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Guest Services Worker - Outdoor Pool to join our team for the summer season. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and safe environment by providing exceptional service, managing admissions, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring smooth daily operations at the outdoor pool. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

You are comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and can balance customer service duties with an awareness of safety procedures and facility guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet patrons and guests with professionalism and a welcoming attitude.
- Respond to customer questions and public inquiries in a timely and informed manner.
- Provide information about facility services, schedules, and promotions.
- Process payments for private rentals and program registrations, using point-of-sale software.
- Handle merchandise sales, track inventory, and assist in restocking as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area.
- Follow opening and closing procedures for the reception area.
- Other duties as assigned by the Visitor Experience Manager.
EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role.
- Combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- First Aid and AED certification considered an asset.
- Must successfully complete a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Point-of-Sale and/or recreational registration systems preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service in a busy environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with professionalism at all times.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Must be available for irregular shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- This position operates in a fast-paced, customer-oriented recreational facility environment.
- The outdoor pool is not air conditioned.
- $17.20 per hour.
- 15 hours per week for 8 weeks (July -August).
